Applying to U.S. colleges and universities can be, and usually is, a daunting process. While information is readily available and plenty, it can be difficult for a junior or senior high school student to navigate through the heavy load of rankings, data and presentation materials. For international students, the college search and application process can be particularly difficult and discouraging since it requires hundreds of hours of work and preparation and usually involves a great deal of uncertainty. Why is it so?
It’s worth mentioning that a year of college in the US usually costs between USD 40000 and USD 60000. The math is simple: one needs four years to complete a US college degree, so the total cost for an international student can go up to USD 240000. Yes, you saw that right!
You can buy a beautiful home and an amazing car and have money left for other investments with that much money. So, is it worth it, after all? You bet it is! Otherwise, I would not be writing about it.
