MODEL EUROPEAN UNION ALBANIA 2014

The main purpose of the MEU ALBANIA 2014 is a
simulation of the decision-making processes of the EU, in the ordinary
legislative procedures between the European Parliament and European Council.
During the MEU 2014, you will play the roles of Ministers of the Member States
of the EU, European Parliament MEPs, EU Commissioner and journalists.
This simulation, by giving a good insight to how
international organizations work in general and how the EU works in particular,
is dedicated to students who want to put into practice all the academic
knowledge that they have to do with EU.
This experience is helpful to all participants
who study Political Sciences, Diplomacy and European Legislation, but it is
also a good opportunity for other students who want to improve their
communications, negotiations and other skills. Above all, they will experience
a truly European atmosphere with participants from all over Europe.
Furthermore, this event brings together a strong core of young people that prove willingness to stand up and to get involved in European politics.
MEU Albania 2014 offers the right environment
for people who share common passions and values towards the EU institutions to
form community based on richness of ideas and variety of personalities. In the
course of this event, participants debate two real-life legislative proposals
drafted by the European Commission and simulate EU law-making by acting as
Members of the European Parliament or Members of the Council of the European
Union.
